The time on the message boards is an hour ahead for me. At the posting of this message the time will be exactly 11:17:26 Central Standard Time (GMT -6hrs). Does CP not take into account daylight savings? -Mark

I thought DST kicks in on the last Sunday in October, and the first Sunday in April (and Europe has a slightly different system to that). The kindest thing you can do for a stupid person, and for the gene pool, is to let him expire of his own dumb choices. [Roger Wright on stupid people] We're like private member functions [John Theal on R&D] We're figuring out the parent thing as we go though. Kinda like setting up Linux for the first time ya' know... The changeover to/from DST varies from country to country. Even from year to year, and political party. I used to have a link to a website that showed just what a mess it is, but I can't find it anymore. :( Marc MyXaml Advanced Unit Testing

---Mark--- wrote: So what is up with the hour difference? Something Nixon did (curse him!) during the energy crisis to help reduce energy load by having people get up later. So legend goes. Something also about children walking to school in the dark. Probably more legend. Children walking to school? Where does that happen anymore? Want to save energy? Turn off the TV! Mwahaha! Want to save energy? Turn off the TV! Mwahaha! I agree, except during post-season baseball. :-D An expert is somebody who learns more and more about less and less, until he knows absolutely everything about nothing.
