It's "Remembrance" day here in the UK too, but lots of people write it wrongly as RemembErance I've got a nice popy logo up at grapefruitopia[^] too - thanks to a handy perl script I wrote to display seasonal logos (it always surprises me each time the logo changes, as I forget I made it do that! -- Help me! I'm turning into a grapefruit! Phoenix Paint - back from DPaint's ashes!

In 1918, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, the guns fell silent and World War I ended. Note: world war, nothing to do with empire! Remembrance Day - on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month "All locomotion should cease, so that, in perfect stillness, the thoughts of everyone may be concentrated on reverent remembrance of the glorious dead" King George V

We remember those who have died in war so hopefully leaders will take more time to find a peaceful solution. The human cost of war must never be forgotten :(( The tigress is here :-D

I just noticed the red spot on Bob's chest. Must have been reading the image from the cache earlier. Could the spot perhaps be a poppy, I don't know if the poppy has the same significance in other countries as here in the UK but here we pin a poppy (an artificial one, not an actual flower) to our clothes in remembrance. The reason we wear poppies can be found [here](<a href=)[^] if anyone wants to know. SuzyB If I had a better memory I would remember more.
