"Two chunks of ice, one each from a female and a male glacier, are transported to an appropriate location. Doing so, porters carrying the pieces observe complete silence. Pieces of ice will then be placed side-by-side, close enough for both chunks to eventually produce 'offspring' in the shape of fresh water – a new source of irrigation and drinking water." That sounds like a novel solution to a serious problem, even if the metaphor (marriage) is a bit strained. In the absence of a decent aquifer to retain rainfall and snow runoff it makes good sense to store water in its solid form. It will be interesting to see how well this approach worked in ten years or so.:) "If it's Snowbird season, why can't we shoot them?" - Overheard in a bar in Bullhead City
