You've got a real thing about FireFox eh. How long did you use it for as your main browser? regards, Paul Watson South Africa The Code Project
I used the release version for about 2 weeks when the it came out a little while ago and for about a year before that off an on when each beta came out. I use it for both testing purposes and for general purpose browsing. I also use Opera which I paid for quite some time ago. Opera is still hands down the fastest, smallest browser of any I've tried, no question. I don't have anything against Firefox at all, I think it's slightly inferior in some ways and offers nothing that I can see that is substantially different from other browsers, what do I have a thing about is all these bandwagon jumpers here who go on about it like it's a cure for cancer or something. It's just a web browser and the average user couldn't care less unless it does something for them which is new or compelling which it apparently doesn't from what I can see. The only thing it has going for it is people keep saying it's more secure, I have seen zero evidence of that and strangely no one here who is boosting it has posted any either in all the many discussions about it. There is also tab browsing, but if that isn't the who cares feature of the century then nothing is. I'm just going by facts, not the impressions or feelings here.

Firefox blocks ALL popups in my experience. How can IE block more than that? More FUD from the future 51st state... ------- sig starts "I've heard some drivers saying, 'We're going too fast here...'. If you're not here to race, go the hell home - don't come here and grumble about going too fast. Why don't you tie a kerosene rag around your ankles so the ants won't climb up and eat your candy ass..." - Dale Earnhardt "...the staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - Jason Jystad, 10/26/2001
John Simmons / outlaw programmer wrote: Firefox blocks ALL popups in my experience. How can IE block more than that? Then you truly haven't used it very much. I used it for months before the final release and weeks after the final release and I would get a popup within minutes of surfing news sites without fail. You're talking out your you know what once again John. John Simmons / outlaw programmer wrote: More FUD from the future 51st state... FUD? You guys invented FUD and are perfecting it on a daily basis. ;P
