    A few months ago Microsoft gave away copies of VB.NET Standard to anyone who signed up for a few webcast that they were showing. I attended and received my copy very quickly actually but what I was wondering is if anyone knows if they are or have done the same with C# Standard edition? Thanks for the info, Richard

      I know there's a .NET 2003 free edition they supply - it doesnt come with the IDE, but hey - use your favourite editor and learn nmake - I can't find the link straight off - I'll try to post back/edit this if I do come across it hth [EDIT] ok, Im back - see if this http://msdn.microsoft.com/visualc/vctoolkit2003/[^] helps 'G'

        Why shouldn't they. The only products they earn money with are windows and office. Don't try it, just do it! ;-)
