Yesterday I became father again. Now I have two kids, Mohammad (4 years) and Fatima (1 day)! I'm very happy and excited that Allah sent me this gift. A. Riazi

OK. Fair enough on that one. Perhaps the lounge would have been a better place to post. Still. Your views on Christianity make me sick. This world will certainly be fucked with attitudes like yours and probably deserves to be. Jon

My Mother would certainly consider herself to be a Christian as would the rest of her side of the family. Although I gave up on much of this and see no point in debating it, my tolerance and respect for others is probably the most valuable Christian lesson I learnt from her. People are people. I just can’t seem to qualify your statements against any of my memories of church or what I consider to be right. In fact I doubt even that my parish priest could understand your standpoint. Jon

I was actually shooting for irony. In the sense that you can insult christians all the live long day, but just say something rude to a Muslim and see what you get. It is always so enligtening. "Patriotism is the first refuge of a patriot."

Actually, so was I, kinda. My comment was what passes for sarcasm - a close cousin to irony. Still, I think you were a little heavy handed. In any case, who (tell the truth now) really gives a fuck that he had another kid, regardless of what you think he'll encourage him to do later in life.

I think that not holding Muslims to precisely the same standards that I hold Christians would be the act of a bigot. I never pass up an opportunity to remind Muslims of the violence that is being done in the name of their religion. I would do precisely the same for any Chrisitan that acted in the same way. But, we do not live in a world that is even in the most remote sense threatened by Christians or their beliefs. We do live in a world where secularism is bulldozing down every last vestage of western civilization and rebuilding everything in its own image. And we live in a world where thousands are murdered in the name of Islam. I simply believe in pointing those facts out at every opportunity. And have no fucking apology to make for it. My critics can bite me. "Patriotism is the first refuge of a patriot."

The fact that he invokes the name of Allah is all the proof that I need. He voluntarily associates himself with a religion that is used as a pretext for murder and bloodshed all over this planet, with absolutely no attempt to disassociated himself from those who do that. None of us, including you (hell, especially you) would let a Christian get away with that. I hold him responsible for what others do in the name of the religion he claims membership in, precisely as I would any Christian. I do not believe that "moderation" is ever an appropriate response to fanaticism. Anyone who remains moderate in the face of fanaticism is nothing but a coward - at best. We have f***ed Iraq (Or is Iraq just full of the murdering Islamic extreamists you would like to blame for everything) and all the good people who live there just so GW could get his rocks off. Oh at least they have Democracy now so thats OK. Providing the government there continues to do what the US want.

I don't accept your premise. I disagree with the war in Iraq, but we are, in fact, there for reasons at least as noble as those that motivated us to liberate Europe.

Did I say I was a Christian? EDIT - And if I were, it is obvious you have no problem in seeing Christianity as a threat. Sometimes you can be a right cunt Stan. What a fucking shitty thing to say to a guy who has just become a father. You should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself - today you're a disgrace to humanity.

I've seen insensitivity from you before, but this time you've hit a new low, and one that makes me feel physically sick.
