I've been through all the tutorials, I've read the equivalent of five bibles, and I still couldn't find the menu bar till I accidentally knocked my mouse onto the top of the screen and "bang" then it appeared. Okay, so the rest of the interface is like winamp on steroids - not very good or intuitive, but you can use it after a few weeks - but having an auto hiding menu bar that only displays after almost 2 seconds is bloody stupid. I agree that other "boring" apps should stick to Office and Windows standards. But specialist apps sometimes need to do something different to make it workable. When you ticked a checkbox, another dialog came up with futher sub options - annoying at first, but you got used to it. Maybe I should have said: After a day of using Truespace I absolutely addored the interface and found it to be the most productive 3d app interface I had ever tried. It was truly revolutionary and ground breakingly good. :) IMHO if an interface is weird but bad then I will never love it.
