For an article I am looking for "Hello World" translated in different languages. So far I have got the following: German - Hallo Welt! Spanish - ¡Hola Mundo! French - Bonjour Monde! Italian - Ciao Mondo! Portugese - Hello Mundo! ' Japanese - こんにちは世界! Korean - 여보세요 세계 ! Chinese - 世界您好! Hindi - अभिवादन विशव Telugu - పృపంచముకె అభివాడనం Can the native speakers check these? I used google to generate all these except Hindi and Telugu (which may not be correct as I used CharMap to generate the text). Also Also feel free to add any langauge you speak and which I am missing here. I am not looking for Prgramming Languages. A comprehensive list of Hello Worlds in lots of programming languages is available here: http://www2.latech.edu/~acm/HelloWorld.shtml[^] Thanks

Tamil: Namaskaram Ulagam (Sorry, I don't have the font). Marathi (my native tongue) : Namaskar, bhoolok. NOTE: The Marathi translation is only approximate as I'm not an exponent of formal Marathi. Prakash might be able to give a more accurate translation. Cheers, Vikram.

You need to visit urban dictionary. I don't have a link but me thinks you'll find something akin to: Yo! Whas Up!

I only read CP for the articles. Code-frog System Architects, Inc.

German is correct, but I have tried to translate it to bavarian (a german idiom), I didn't used "World" but "all together" because it's a common salutation in bavaria (and for a true Bavarian there only exists Bavaria - and the others ;) ): Bavarian - Griasdi olle mitanand! ------------------------------ A bug in a Microsoft Product? That's "Good day" more or less, isn't it? I'm not sure about "Hwello", and I lack the right letters on my keyboard  but I wouöld try with this: HU CTO, µйp it's more like "Now what, world?" and looks ugly, but it's the best what 6 years of obligatory russian give :sigh:
