I'd prefer to be intelligent and the saddest man on earth, rather than being a dumb stupid happy fool!!!!!! Nish Nish was here, now Nish has gone; He left his soul, to turn you on; Those who knew Nish, knew him well; Those who didn't, can go to hell. Given the choice between being an intelligent but perminently sad person or being a person who is dumb as mud but perminently happy and ignorant or their lack of intelligence. I'd pick the second. If I was always unhappy I'd end up doing away with myself...What the point of living if there is no joy to be had? Pete

Nish [BusterBoy] wrote: Why Paul? Why? I chose happiness because Michael gave us a choice between the two. i.e. You could only be happy and not intelligent, or intelligent and not happy. And I chose happiness. I simply do not want to be miserable in life Nish and would rather be average or slightly on the thick side and jubilantly happy than morbidly sad and a genius. Happiness.. well it is a wonderful feeling, as it should be. Intelligence can bring amazing pain and sadness, understanding is grim, ignorance is bliss. Daniel Turini wrote: Well, at least I think we agree that sad stupids are only alive because their suicide atempts failed. That is really cruel Daniel, not nice at all. Funnily enough it is intelligent people who have a higher suicide rate, not "stupid" people. I guess "stupid" people are happier with their lot in life and do not have all these worrying thoughts and possibilities in their head. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa "The greatest thing you will ever learn is to love, and be loved in return" - Moulin Rouge Sonork ID: 100.9903 Stormfront

If I had the choice of being happy for life or intellegent for life, it would be happy. It shouldn't matter if you don't have Stephen Hawking's IQ or a P.E. Teacher's IQ. Nothing else matters as long as you're happy. Simon It's one for you, nineteen for me Sonork ID 100.10024

Happy. I'd be too dumb to know I was dumb, but if I were smart, I'd have a good idea I was sad. Christian I have come to clean zee pooollll. - Michael Martin Dec 30, 2001 Picture the daffodil. And while you do that, I'll be over here going through your stuff.

HockeyDude wrote: If you were that smart, couldn't you find ways of being happy You mean hapy like Bertrand Russell , Oscar Wilde and Turing ? Or do you mean happy like that one off Richard Feynman ? There seem to be a fair number of tortured souls among those classed as genius , and very few from the Feynman mould.
