Saturn is going to vanish!

Saturn will "vanish" behind the Moon on Wednesday, Feb. 20th That should be an interesting event as it's easy to observe it with unarmed eye (but some optics are recommended, even a simple binocular will do)...

Cool! Thanks for the link George. Nish CPUA # 0x0666 Once there was a man, bound in chains and brought to Christ, for he was said to have devils within him. Christ asked the man, "What is thy name?". What is really kewl about this is that you'll be able to see the rings with a small telescope. I'm unsure whether this facility will be available for us in the Sothern Hemisphere still. It's a good idea to subscribe to space news to keep upto date with whats happening. Regardz Colin J Davies

They have the picture of the sunspots. I wonder if astrologysts can read the future from the sunspots - just imagine the possibilities when guessing what the shape of the spot means. Also, you can get the "magic numbers" using the spot count...

George wrote: I wonder if astrologysts can read the future from the sunspots Another reason to ridicule astrologists isn't it. The massive effect the sun has on our planet is immeasuably superior to any distant planetary or stella alignment. So you would think the basis of astrology would be foundered on solar activity, which it clearly is not. Regardz Colin J Davies
