      Actually, the England fans seem to be quite good natured from what I saw on the news this lunch time. So I wish England luck in the World Cup. However, a former collegue once said something that got me thinking and I found it is quite true: "I always start out supporting England when Scotland isn't playing. But after a while of listening incredulously to the extreme bias of the commentators on the BBC or ITV I can't continue." I'd also like to congratulate BBC News 24 for not mentioning 1966 once during the portion of the news I watched while having lunch. No... Wait a second.... They did mention it. They said "1966 was 40 years ago and it is about time England won the world cup again" (or words to that effect). So, in response I'd like to mention 1967[^] when in the first international game after the 1966 world cup, Scotland beat England on their home turf 3-2 thus showing that 1966 was a fluke and nothing more. ;P

          I was of course ferering to 'Scooer'. American Football is of course extraordinalrially boring, but atl east does not make me want to punch someone. Anyway, Farmer Janner, I am actually English. And I couldnt give a toss who the fuck qualifies and whether Belgium play Japan in the semi-do-I-Give-a-fuck-finals or not. Nunc est bibendum
