oracle DBA or development

Hi, My friends are suggesting me to leave development field for good , First get a DBA certification, take some oracle classes. They say oracle DBA has more demand, good scope and much more high payment. Is this true? No idea about oracle DBA field. I am having 4 years of experience in c++, mfc and now turning to .net. I like my field.. but need good company and good pay package too. ram kumar

See what the water is like. Go off to Oracle, download their Express Database and experiment. [^] Then come back to this forum with your views of this Oracle product. Oracle University will be able to satisfy any BDA certification. Have a look at their web site at [^].
