Guys, How can I change the background color for an Inactive Selection in a tree for example? E.g.: You have the Solution Explorer, you click a file name, and then you click in the editor. The selection becomes inactive and is painted with a light gray. How can I change this gray? I use a Laptop LCD Screen most of the times on low brightness to save energy and that gray is never visible to me. Thanks, Corneliu. http://www.acorns.com.au

i'm not exactly sure what you are looking for, but if you want the inactive ("greyed out") text/buttons in windows to still stand out enough that you can read them, try going into display settings, under "Appearance" (then if you have XP you have to click "Advanced) and selecting "3D Objects" on the menu, then you click on the current color of the "3D Objects" (which takes you to the color picker) and enter R:219 G:217 B:255. That will give your GUI a blue tint, but at the same time the "grayed out" items show up bright blue Roswell

This will turn almost all my windows into a dark gray/blue. I hoped there is a specific color only for the tree selection. http://www.acorns.com.au

Not that I know of. I think the only availbale options for changing display are those present in the dropdown on the Appearance that the previous poster mentioned. However if you need the color settings for a specific application (say Windows Explorer) I think you could write a plugin for it. Those properties should be available....I think :~ salutari, Mircea Many people spend their life going to sleep when they’re not sleepy and waking up while they still are.
