Is anyone going to Developer Day 4 in Reading and would like to meet up? Blurb: This FREE one day event builds on the success of the previous DeveloperDeveloperDeveloper Days. As before it is all about developers learning, sharing and interacting with each other in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. There will be NO Microsoft speakers presenting, just speakers from the UK .NET developer community; although we will have some of the Microsoft UK Developer Team on hand to help out and chat to attendees. The day is put together by the community for the community, in other words you. With Microsoft UK very kindly providing the venue, logistic support and a free lunch.

Why would you get an assignment to go to this event? It will be very useful for students because the speakers are all professional developers and students will see how things are done in the real world rather than in the academic bubble they've been used to. But... I don't see how a university can make this an assignment. For a start they'd have to get everyone registered - and the last event was booked out and the waiting list was full as well after the registration process being open for just 10 days. (So, if it is going to be an assignment they better be quick off the mark)
