Damn VS.NET...

Be realistic. As Nish said, it'll probably be a couple service packs.. maybe even a new version... before it becomes usable. Who uses MS products before at least the seocnd service pack? ;P Winning isn't everything, but then, losing is nothing.
Masochists like me :) Seriously, it's the price of admission if you want to always be on the bleading edge - hance the name. Cheers, Tom Archer Author, Inside C#

I'm not able to find an option where i can compile a single project alone in a solution, everytime I build, it has to build the entire solution including all the projects, is there anyway around it ? I want to compile only the project i selected, It hasnt crashed for me yet, thats probably cause i'm using it for non-ui code. cheers Kannan
Right-click the project in the solution explorer and select Build. That should do what you want. Cheers, Tom Archer Author, Inside C#

There are a couple of ways around this. The simplest is to press ALT-B-U (or choose the item from the build menu). Alternately, you could open the Configuration Manager and uncheck the Build box for the projects you don't want to build each time you choose "Build Solution". BTW, I've found a couple weird things and crashed it a few times, but VS.NET is very useable in my opinion. John

Navin wrote: Who uses MS products before at least the seocnd service pack? Me: and the reason is simple. I'm a programmer. I strongly believe (and put my best efforts for it to be true) that my newer software version be more stable, reliable, with less bugs and with more features. Why MS's software should be different ? Or am I a better programmer than them ? Crivo Automated Credit Assessment
