Since we have had a large amount of pretty poor articles in the last few days I was just wondering if the 25 article limit to become a platinum member applies even if those articles are complete crap, such as those by rakesharondekar, which seem to have been reposted so that reviewers negative comments are removed. Does this happen ? regards,

I've reported these articles on numerous occasions but nothing gets done, does anybody else use the report this article link. This guy rakesharondekar [^]is the worst offender at the moment, posting absolute crap, badly formatted articles, submitting them as advanced (that's a joke), and having the audacity to sit smug in his picture.

Perhaps it should become a function to the Popularity/Rating of the Articles also ?

If the article is no good, it will go into purgatory. I am not sure if purgatory articles count to platinum, but it wouldn't surprise me if they did not. I should add that the site stopped buying cars for platinum members several years ago :-)

I also use the report this article link but don't want to do it too often as it gets depressing especially recently as there seem to be a lot of articles that just ignore the submission guidelines completely. What is wrong with these people ?

Well, there all apparently educated to a high degree, must be just down to the lack of RTFM. Hopefully, the purge police will mop these articles up, soon I hope.

That's why CP has user ratings. They preserve the openness of CP but warn potential ignorant users. :|

I'm against that completely. My articles been exploited by politically motivated voting.
