I didn't think there were *any* Christians left in England. "There's a slew of slip 'twixt cup and lip"
There isn't. There are just people who say they are Christians because that's what their parents were. We are really all pagans now - which is a lot cooler. Michael :-)

(It's somewhere over by that over big country, but a little to the left, isn't it?) David is right! So I'll just give some info on India. INDIA: Population 1.1 Billion (900 million Hindus 140 million Muslims and rest Christians.) Some Notable Contributions to the World: "0", Hotmail (Sabeer Bhatia), Manoj Shyamalan and USA. Yes USA! Columbus set out to discover India and found North America. No India No America!! Indian Economy: SO called rich battling 40% income tax, corrupt beauracrcy and extreme poverty with 400 million people living on just 1 square meal a day. Exports = 0.67% of World Total (with 20% of World Population!!) India's Past: Glorious, with untold number of Kings,Queens, Empires of Gold, great art and literature. India's Future: Very Bleak. India might actually show interested people how Nazi Germany mauled the jews in the coming years. We have a powerful Hindu Nationalist party wth 25 million storm troopers spread across the country keeping tab on the minority. Recently, all minority establishments were burnt down in an Indian State called Gujarat along with 500 people including women and children. A data collection process is going on as I write for all names, establishmenst of minorities in India by extra constitutional authorities. Fourth Reich? I dont think, therefore do I exist? I can't answer as I dont think.

****Colin Davies wrote: That soundz pretty weak, but yeah blame the Poms again. :) Yeah, I keep forgetting about this whole affirmative action, you can be anything you want to be bullshit the world (especially the Yanks) keep talking about. I mean the convicts had control of everything seeing as they were worked and starved to death while the Poms had the guns and power.
- I was going to be King of England until I found I had to be born into the family.
- I was going to move to the US and become President, but shit I'm wasn't born in America.
- Then I was going to be a famous Kiwi without moving to Australia, but then found this was impossible.
- I was going to work on my career and become rich and powerful and have complete control of my life. Then I thought, fucked if I want to be and old cunt before I have kids and die before seeing grandkids.
I have no problems admitting Australians aren't the best at most things. Lose most of our best people and inventions too other countries as our government are fuckwits, But I don't think we should take any blame for shit that happened before we had control of the country. It was 1901 when we first started governing ourselves. :( Michael Martin Australia mjm68@tpg.com.au "He orginally got the Tweezers of Destruction through the scanners but then popped back outside for a smoke." - Chris Maunder 26/03/2002

I dunno the exact def; of religion, but i think atheism and religion in the same sentance is like a oxymoron no...? I feel strongly about being nothing(atheist) yes, but I dunno if this qualifies as being religious...??? What an interesting topic to bring up on CP... Way to go...you have offically confused the hell out of me... :) Is this an example of a paradox...? Cuz i'm certainly confused. The answer to your paradox is very simple actually. As an atheist you claim there is no God/Supreme Ruler/Force/etc. and that the material world is all there is. However, because you do not have a 100% perfect knowledge of the universe and it's workings, the x% that you don't know about could hide the supernatural that you claim doesn't exist. Therefore, your claim is a faith based claim on the nature of the universe and qualifies as at least as a metaphyiscal claim on the nature of the universe, equal to all other 'religions' Where the difference resides is that 'Religion' usually includes other trappings, such as common rituals, dogmas, etc. that Atheists tend not to have as a whole. Personally, I feel that an ardent atheist is just as 'religious' as I am. Steven Mitcham wrote: As an atheist you claim there is no God/Supreme Ruler/Force/etc. and that the material world is all there is. I can't remember where I read this or who made the statement, but he was one of those genius(spelling) type...like the dude in my sig. Real smart guy...seperated himself from society by doing something that changed life as we know it. That's how I define genius anyway. "Always accept the easiest(most probable) solution." Or something like that...basically what he's saying (or what I got out of it) is that the truth hurts...When that chick that turned you down in highschool said you weren't her type...what she really meant, was your ugly and annoying. Harsh example, but i've known way too many people to actually continue living life accepting what people say or know as the truth. When in reality(the world I live) I know full well the truth isn't always spoken. Steven Mitcham wrote: However, because you do not have a 100% perfect knowledge of the universe and it's workings, the x% that you don't know about could hide the supernatural that you claim doesn't exist. Your totally correct...Einstein had the ability to comprehend far better than anyone else to date, but that was what made Einstein so popular, his ability to understand. Was he a religious man...? Maybe, but probably not big time...if anything at all. People like him have for centuries been murdered by religious extremists not wanting to accept anything other than god's word. Steven Mitcham wrote: Therefore, your claim is a faith based claim on the nature of the universe and qualifies as at least as a metaphyiscal claim on the nature of the universe, equal to all other 'religions' It's not a claim, nor is it faith...it's life...i'm a skeptic for a reason...why would I waste time believing in something that very well and very likely doesn't exist...? I accept what I can see and touch and stuff...you know...non-metaphysical things. Reality I think it's called... :) Atheists are neutral and look for the 'correct' answers, not the one that makes you feel better. Keep in mind, most athiests start out as religious types (as children growing up, etc...) but most religious types don't start off as athiests. :) Steven Mitcham wrote: Personally, I feel that an ardent atheist is just as 'religious' as I am. courtesy of Dictionary
