Warning - this message contains abusive and downright ugly words. If you have a weak constitution, I suggest you go to the next message for your entertainment. You have been warned. Scroll to see the rest... 1) Anybody that wants to meet someone with the intent of starting a romantic relationship based solely on ICQ chat exchanges is a fuckin' loser (actually BOTH people are fuckin' losers). 2) If you post an obviously false photo of yourself, people here are gonna think you're a guy posing as a chick. In fact, you said that you exchanged photos with each other. How about showing us one of the pics you supposedly sent to bait the other loser into buying an airline ticket just to meet you. 3) If you are a chick, and you don't want to "teach a guy anything", you're not really a chick (every women *I've* ever met thinks they have something to teach a man), so you're just a true flaming bitch who cares nothing about anyone or anything but herself, and I hope you die alone with only your cats to watch your final minutes on this earthly plane. 4) Who truly gives a rat's ass about your lovelife unless it directly affects one of us? 5) You've been registered here since February of this year, and I can't honestly remember seeing a post from you before today. "Friends"? I think that's stretching it a bit until you've posted a few hundred messages and gotten your hands dirty with some truly meaningful topics (both here and in the Soapbox forum), and not the insufferable bilge water posts like this one. 6) Wasting my time on these kinds of posts really pisses me off. If you're really a chick and your feelings are hurt, tough shit - I ain't no politician, and you brought it on yourself. If you're a guy posing as a chick, you're in serious need of prison life (you'll find lots of friends in there that want to make you their bitch), because you're just a latent faggot exploring your new sense of self in the wrong goddamn place. Is it right for me to dump him, just because he does not understand OSes and can not program? As an admin you should be accustomed to LART'ing. If it turns out he's incapable or unwilling to learn... Well, wouldn't you say it's grounds for account termination? But I'd also say that if you've kept in touch with this person for two years and didn't find out he's a computer illiterate until you met him IRL, maybe his computer skills matches your person skills? :-> Am I being selfish wanting somone who can boot from a floppy? I don't think so, it's just common sense to look for someone that knows at least the most basic of procedures during an earthquake in the SF bay area. Rather, stay away from someone that don't know what to do.

Janice wrote: Am I being selfish wanting somone who can boot from a floppy? No. But try not to overlook his good points just because he's non-geeky. That being said, imho compatibility is almost always based on communication (verbal, emotional and physical), and if you find you can't communicate with him because he's not interested in most of the things that interest you, it's probably not worth taking the relationship further. Janice wrote: Is it right for me to dump him, Why not stay friends? Never underestimate the power of friendship! Of course, being honest doesn't preclude being diplomatic and cognizant of not hurting his feelings, but be honest all the same. 'Janice', it seems that the CPians have had a discussion and decided you're really a guy. Could you please prove them wrong for me ? Just take another photo ( in different undies if you could ), and this time have a book in one hand, ( any book on C++ or the STL will be fine ), and a sign that says 'I am woman, see me browse' in the other. Conversely, could you tell me where you got the photo from ? If it's copyrighted I should remove it from my CP screensaver.... Christian, I tried taking some pictures at work today although I could not find a STL book, but they did look very nice and I was not impressed, so over the week I will see if I can get some Pics done in a studio or by a professional. Yes I do worry about my appearance, but am equally surprised so many others seem to judge me by it here. Are all Girls who work in computing meant to be non attractive ? :rose: Janice :rose:

He's brings an interesting point into spotlight though... Most people that post fake photos are usually teenage boys...however...(Carmen Electra was a good choice ) i'm no linguist or anything, but none of messages really suggest pre-teen male behavior...which usually include the so-called seven dirty words...which are in no particular order: Blah blah blah...and so on....
