Basic rule for buying any PC: get as good a spec as you can today, because it'll be obsolete in six months. Just spend as much as you can!

So faster and more RAM's will accomplish everything ?, I plan to check the Intel 6600. and searching for boards and drives for the best. Thanks all, Regards, Vythees. "Nothing is Best, Until Tomorrow is there"

More than 2Gb ram would be nice ;) I have now laptop with 2Gb(pentium M 2,1GHz) and it works quiet well under XP. For vista you need some more GHz ;)

Also, if you decide to go for 4 or more GB of RAM, get a 64 bit OS and a motherboard that can handle it. 32 bit Windows only really handles 3 GB of RAM because it uses the other part of the address space for itself....

Loads of ram and a fast CPU. You can't have enough of that. Also make sure you have a fast harddrive, otherwise the IO simply sucks
