I have a dvd that I want to extract a clip from into mpeg/avi format, what's the simplest way to do that? dvd has no protection, it's a homemade job. Don't want anything fancy, just want to select the region and hit 'go'. need the sound intact as well thanks!

You'll need two things: DVDShrink, and Kate's Video Converter. You can google for either, Download.com has the converter if you want to go straight to there. The converter has many nice features and it's FREE :) Roswell
