      "bucks" is not only American slang and does not only mean "U.S. dollar".

          If I take the calculation from Nish, ~44 000 $ ~ 34000€, that is a very common salary for someone in the IT in France. I have a lot of friends who do not even earn that. I've recently tried to move jobs in France, 5 years experienced programmer, for a project leading, I was offered 32 000€ a year.

            I got an email from a headhunter that asked if I was interested in a new Project Manager position. In the message was the rate for the position: $20/hr. Wow!!! Where do I sign up? :rolleyes:
