I loved that film - state of the art graphics, and a cheesy storyline. Classic. Oh yes - and one of the most laughable villains in movie history.

Deja View - the feeling that you've seen this post before.

Definately...but not so bad as the "monster" in Howard the Duck!

    Scott.

Movie Of The Day is: The Last Starfighter I remember this movie was one of my favs. I was amazed with the animation and the thought that if I played a video game well enough I might get invited into a space fight!!! IMDB[^] WIKI[^] -Has a good writeup about the movie PC Game[^] - I just found this will have to wait until I get home to try it.

Yep, I have it on VHS. And we just got "Flight of the Navigator" when my parents were cleaning out the house. My son (6) watched it three times over the weekend. Mmmm... Sarah Jessica Parker. Also there was one I think called "The Explorers" that had some great aliens. -- modified at 16:50 Thursday 20th September, 2007 Ah, just "Explorers" -- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089114/[^]

I remember watching that movie and thinking how realistic it looked. And then I heard that the space scenes were computer generated, on a Cray Y/MP. I saw it again, and marveled how you couldn't tell they were computer generated. I saw it again on TV a few years ago and laughed hard when I saw the space scenes. So cheesy, and obviously computer generated by today's standards. Just goes to show how expectation really changes the way you look at things.

-- Where are we going? And why am I in this handbasket?

The Cray Y/MP was credited in the cast for the role of 'Supercomputer'.

I had that game for my Atari. Wonder if it's the same.:)

I really liked that movie also. I remember Catherine Mary Stewart being very easy on the eyes.
