The CPOL on Wikipedia
-
I just decided to switch to the Code Project Open License for my latest addition to the CP (not published yet). While one could argue that the world has enough free OSS licenses, I think it's a nice one, so I abandoned the LGPL. As I wanted to link to the license from the About-Dialog, I tried to Google it, but to my surprise, it was pretty hard to find the License Page. Which is why I created a corresponding Wikipedia entry (my first one, btw :)). However, English is not my first language, so if you think it could do with a little smoothing, feel free to edit the article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CPOL Cheers!

Sweet. Now all it needs is for someone to actually expand on the CodeProject entry on Wikipedia[^].
"Every time Lotus Notes starts up, somewhere a puppy, a kitten, a lamb, and a baby seal are killed. Lotus Notes is a conspiracy by the forces of Satan to drive us over the brink into madness. The CRC-32 for each file in the installation includes the numbers 666." Gary Wheeler "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning." - Rick Coo

Very good. I seem to remember a discussion on the license and what it meant, but never did try to find it until later, without much success, though, to be fair, I didn't spend more than a couple of minutes on it. At least now, I know where a link is and it should be pretty easy to find.

I have a suggestion for the entry: CodeProject - where the mythical meets the digital. A land where gods and trolls do battle in the twin Valhallas known as "The Lounge" and "The Soapbox". A place where the whalesong is particularly sweet - "Kyyyyyyllllllle", "Miiiccrosoffffffffffffftttttttttttttttttttttttt", "gloBalWarmINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG".
Deja View - the feeling that you've seen this post before.

And the fallen heroes are automatically collected and their resources recycled back into the system?

That would only be fair.
