Domains

Continuing on the same subject as previous one, I just registered c2oh.com (no link because just running some ads there) and and I think it is a good alround domain name to run different tests on. I think it has potential to be valuable in the future. Anybody knows the meaning of c2oh without googling? Has anybody ever succeded in registering a "valuable" domain name? Maybe sold a domain name? jhaga

I'm gonna guess that it's the chemical formula C2OH...but since I hated chemistry, I don't know what that is specifically. ;P

as with any collector item, you need something A) someone wants B) they don't have a near enough substitute (did you buy all the .net .info .tv .us etc. ad infinitum also?) C) find someone who wants it D) agree on a price. So, we will assume you found A) for the moment even though it was still available. Now you need to find out about B) then you will need to eventually find a C) and then somehow manage D). When people collect things to resell they often forget that it is more complicated than simply buying and then waving a flag and having folks jump to your doorstep. Somethings sell more than others, some don't. New domain extensions are being opened up regularly to try to prevent some of the name blocks on certain domains, which is good for you if you want to buy, bad for you if you think you can make a fortune off what you have bought. Good luck! who knows, maybe you will find all those!

But as a rule of thumb, each atom has to have a filled outer shell. Carbon has 4 holes, oxygen 2, and hydrogen 1. I don't see any way which this molecule could be "stable."

Good observation. The hydrogen atoms bound to the carbon skeleton is left out of the formula. After all, we all know they are there! jhaga

Good luck to you, but, your reference to ethanol (drinkin' alcohol for the unknowing) is obscure enough have eluded me. Had it not be oddly answered in some of the followups, I'd have assumed it not to be a chemical allusion. Hope I'm wrong, but your assumption as to marketability misses an important point: it requires some degree of easy recognition - and if an explaination is required (even to someone with a fair knowledge in the field) - it really doesn't have that valuable commodity. Try
HydroxyEthane.org
Or maybeHydroEthylEther.net
? Desperation?Hydrogen_Ethoxide.com
