Either way he has him to a tee and, whilst others may be unhappy with the content, nobody is refuting the conclusion.

Isnt this just boiler plate psycho babbel though? I mean, it might reflect Ilions true nature, but equally it might not. We are all hidden by anonymity and all project parts of our personalities, often those that dont get much airing, because there is no comeback.

I don't know why it's bothering you Ilion, we all know the almighty created you like you are for a reason..... If you've got a 'superiority complex' and a dick that is way too small, don't worry about it. I'm sure him up there still loves you.

I gave credit to the article I used to check on the definition of Ilidgit's condition. The rest was amazingly easy to write. I have spent far more time writing a much shorter post to you about the derivation of words.

The way you've been going on about my reminding you that your brain was too small, your belly to large and your dick too tiny to compete with me, I have to assume that you are just thrilled beyong all measure. You've been reminding me about the phrase in exactly the same manner that a female cat parades back and forth when she's in heat. How many times do I have to tell you - No Sale.

To an extent, possibly but I think the bubble starts to fall away after a while and we present who we really are: I would think it difficult to maintian the artifice and mask for too long especially in some of the heated arguments that take place. I'm sure that will get (and reasonably so) argued with: I do not know, with certainty, if I'm right on this but long experience of people and life tells me I might well be.

You are absolutely right. But if my diagnosis is correct you'll be able to use it to predict his future behavior, and you'll find few or no behaviors in his past that contradict what I wrote. I think you'd find that to be the case.

Without question one of the finest, most beautifully expounded and accurate posts I've had the privilege to read on CP. Here is the link for the post in context but I've taken the liberty of reproducing it here: Why Ilion cannot[^] That will never happen. Because of Ilion's coping mechanisms in a world that terrifies him he cannot admit to error. According to Wikipedia, 'superiority complex' refers to a subconscious neurotic mechanism of compensation developed by the individual as a result of feelings of inferiority. The feelings of inferiority in this specific complex are often brought on by real or perceived social rejection, possibly as a result of the individual's inattentiveness to hygiene, appearance, or lower intelligence as compared to others. Those exhibiting a superiority complex commonly project their feelings of inferiority onto others they perceive as beneath them, possibly for the same reasons they themselves may have been ostracized, i.e. viewing most, possibly all others as "ugly" or "stupid", and beneath oneself. Behaviors related to this mechanism may include an exaggeratedly positive opinion of one’s worth and abilities, unrealistically high expectations in goals and achievements for oneself and others, the persistent attempt to correct others regardless of whether they are factually correct or not, vanity, extravagant style in dressing (with intent of drawing attention), excessive need for competition, pride, sentimentalism and affected exaltation, snobbishness, and a tendency to try to discredit others' opinions, as well as forcefulness and hostility aimed at dominating those he has convinced himself are weaker or less important. Ilion projects an air of contempt for his fellow CPians and often writes as if he is the only poster who is capable of expounding a particular truth. His words suggest that he becomes livid when there is someone who knows more than he does about a subject on which he posted. He rushes into threads with the deluded conviction that he will be the one recognized as owning the truth. And, as I said, he refuses to admit error, no matter how clearly it is pointed out to him, because to do so would force him to give up his cherished feelings of superiority. Ilion is a classic case of the defensive ‘superiority complex.’ His behavior in Soapbox i

While I think that Jon's assessment of Ilion's behavior is accurate, I'm questioning why we're spending time on him at all... There's a reason I almost never reply to Ilion - I simply decided it's not worth my time to participate in those kinds of games. Since I had long ago come to a conclusion similar to Jon's about Ilion, I simply decided to stop feeding his behavior. I'm wondering why others don't do the same - I mean, I know this is the Soapbox, but it seems like every thread now descends into Ilion bashing or arguing with a brick wall. Personally, I have simply learned to ignore attention seekers - it's the best way to shut them down. Everyone here is of course free to behave as they choose, and if they get some kind of kick out of playing with Ilion, more power to ya, just saying for those of you who are genuinely frustrated, just ignore him.
