C#, because it's the most manly of the two languages.

Which you know better ? What image processing you want to do ? and what language offer the most for it ? Portable code ? or only Windows?

Image processing - how intense? If very: C++ If not: C#, but then I'm biased towards good languages.

            I'm largely language agnostic

So people are using VB for image processing nowdays? Fascinating.

Don't know anything about c#, but the image processing seemed to be pretty comprehensive in java. Maybe better to list the specific functions you need and see if the platform supports them.

C++, then Java, then C#. That is just my two cents. Having developed in all three I think I have a solid foundation of the opinion as well.

C++ or C, most certainly not C# or Java.

Turbo Pascal Seriously, it depends on the business need/requirement/accessibility. Image processing is too vague a question. What type of processing? What type of environment?

If it should be platform independent then Java. If it should be Windows, then C#, espacially if you have any user Interface. Cheers

Ah - I managed to avoid COBOL. I have more of a mathematical background, so I was more on the FORTRAN, APL and C track.
