After using a fair number of web hosters over the years DiscountASP.net[^] stand head and shoulders above the rest. They're not UK based (never been an issue) and are not the cheapest but they have performed well. If you do go with them do a search online for coupons: you should be able to get some discount. Always been helpful and responsive and there is the benefit that because they are 5 hours behind if you contact them early they're never too busy.

If you know what you are doing then Slicehost[^] is excellent.

I concur - and they now have European hosting centres.

http://www.fast2host.com/[^] Their site makes them look as professional as a lemon, but the service they deliver has been outstanding on all fronts (speed, cost, features). I'd recommend keeping away from http://www.netpivotal.com/[^], they don't seem to know their arse from their elbow.
