Hi all, I've really had a few wild weeks since my last post. Some things are looking down and other things are looking up. As ever CP members here have been amazing. There are a few of you that I wish I could make neon signs saying thank you and put them in Time Square. The last statement is less about me and more about the extremely awesome nature of some of the founding members of this place. {BLAH}-{BLAH}-{BLAH}-{BLAH} I cannot wait to hear what Paul Watson has to say about this next paragraph. I'm sure it will be humor laced with dismay at my luck yet again. :-D Tomorrow morning at 7:00 both Katie (My 7 year old girl.) and Paige (My 3 year old girl.) go in for emergency tonsil removal. After Paige almost choked to death last night doctors verified that tonsils in both of them are so inflamed that eating is now dangerous and soft foods are the rule until tomorrow (and certainly for 10 days after). Each of them have apnea at night from restricted air ways and yadda, yadda, yadda... So for those of you that pray in whatever method you do remember these 2 for me. Katie has confidently stated, "Dad, once they put me to sleep I never feel a thing!" which is funny and sad at the same time. She asked where the scars would be from this surgery... Paige is excited beyond belief at the thought of being able to watch movie, after movie for day after day. Having had my tonsils out I know what they are in for and frankly I'd rather not pass go and rather not collect my $200. So anyway... just remember each of them for me. At least they will have each other in their misery but it doesn't negate the danger that each of them faces even though it is small. Wish them luck. Wish me luck. These things hit me harder and harder each time they happen. So anyway... that's what is in store for us tomorrow how about you? :omg: :wtf: :-\ :-D :rose:

As a lurker here (and mother of two toddlers), I could not help but be moved by your post. I will add my thoughts and prayers to the other good vibes that most assuredly will be sent your way. I don't know the full-story, but from reading a few other of your recent posts, it sounds like you and your little girls have been through a lot. I am sorry to hear that there is yet another challenge ahead tomorrow. Best of luck to you and your little ones. Hugs to them.:rose:

Good luck - good luck to the kids. I hope, no - we all hope, that everything goes OK. No humour in this post. No flippant remarks. Just sincere best wishes and here's hoping that your beautiful daughters are OK and that by this time tomorrow you and your wife are the happiest parents around. Good luck mate.

Rex - that's his real name - and his family have been through some tough times. I hope that my family never has to go through a 20th of what they have been up to. Katie (or Katie-bug) is one amazing, and beautiful, little girl.

;) Give it a couple of days and you'll see them bounce back. Think you've had trouble keeping up so far? Things are finally turning around at work, a project at work is finally taking off that gives me real involvement. Elaine :rose:

I will keep them in my prayers.:rose: On a related note, I remember getting my tonsils out. I was overjoyed at the idea of ice cream and movies for at least a week. I had no problems with the idea of being knocked out (I had already had multiple surgeries on my ears). Of course, nothing can prepare you for having your tonsils removed and not being able to talk for a few days (which, for me, was torture). But all of that is secondary to the fact that I promptly got sick upon returning home from the hospital. Nothing says pain quite like puking while your throat is still healing from a tonsilectomy (sp?). Those were the days... ;P

All I remember about having my tonsils removed was the choice between Weetabix, or Ice Cream - I chose the Ice Cream. :) Well, I wish them both the best , err I mean :rose:
