    If you like Vai, have a listen to Mattias Eklundh (if you haven't already), this guys is in that vein. An insane player also influenced heavily by Zappa.

      I do indeed. Although nowadays I tend to cheat a bit and use Sibelius to do my scoring rather than writing it out by hand. It just fits with my composing workflow.

      As I find pretty easy to visualise (without use of an instrument) how written music is likely to sound (part of classical training although many years ago), so have you a link I can navigate to, or e-mail me - I think you have my e-mail details - so that I may experience your creations.
