C# canes VB, but it is fundamentally broken as a language. Christian We're just observing the seasonal migration from VB to VC. The thing is though, with A .NET future aint choice of language just going to come down to personal preference of syntax? With features of the langauge & runtime speed all dependent on .NET. So surely the deciding factor will come down to speed of development!

Yes, if you're going to have no choice but to write managed code, i.e. if performance is not an issue for your app. Christian We're just observing the seasonal migration from VB to VC. Is VB really this bad? Every time I look in the papers, I see people who want VB experience. I've only been doing VC++ for over a year, and I do enjoy it. I was thinking about trying to learn VB, too.

With VB.NET it comes closer to a real language, I believe, but C# exists because VB has been so bad for so long that it is beyond redemption and will never be taken seriously by anyone who knows anything about computers.
