No, I must not. Because I don't claim, I won't claim you are wrong. Your beliefs are yours, you are entitled to have them. Maybe you're right, maybe not. I believe you are not, but I respect your faith.

I understand that, but the problem with that position is that it is implicit that your belief is right and true and the beliefs of the Hindus, Muslims, Bhuddists, Native Americans, etc... is completely wrong. And that's why religion can be dangerous - it can breed hate, disrespect, friction and extremism. This is precisely why I disagree with allowing religious ideology to dictate state-based morality and codes of law.

I never ever said my belief are the Truth, but are what I believe as being true. I don't claim I can demonstrate I'm right. I don't intend too, because faith and science are disconnected. You agree that religious matters have no ground to interfere with scientific matters, the opposite can also be true. IMHO, science and Religion don't compete.

If you are able to base your morality on something else than a belief and a thinking about what is wrong and what is right, then on what else can you base it?

And it can bring love, comfort, brotherhood, respect and a sense of community...Stalinism what openly atheist, and it bred hate, disrespect, friction and extremism.... You blame the religion when I blame human beings.

This guy is an idiot. Assuming there's no God, why does he care so much ? What's the ad going to do ? If I see it, I will disagree. It's not going to change my life, or anyone elses. I will still disagree with Dawkins, the interesting thing is that he's the one who is dogmatic and divisive about it.

I think you're missing the point somewhat. Try to prove that an invisible fairy didn't blow the candle out and you'd be getting closer.

Isn't it possible to demonstrate something is not possible?

No, it's not, unless you decide to add underlying assumptions. For something where assumptions or constraints are not only not defined, but explicitly denied by definition (eg. God can do/be anything), it is completely impossible. Even with assumptions it's impossible to completely "prove" a negative, because there is always the possibility that the assumptions themselves are false.

Oh, I can stand the heat all right. If you think that you had a valid criticism, then perhaps you should consider that you're several orders of magnitude more conceited than I am, and that your attacks based on a quality that is beyond my control carry about the weight of those 'shut up ya blond cunt' gems occasionally flung my way when I openly speculate on a moron's sexuality.

Absolutely. I've got an awful lot of accomplishments to be proud of. You: not so much.

Beyond your control, of course, but you really can't hide behind it, either. Being 14 gets you no special favors.

I have accomplishments; I just avoid talking about them.

It shouldn't get me immediate dismissal either. But whatever, I don't care.

That wasn't part of the original requirements.

How does your example prove something doesn't exist? Explain it to me in excruciating detail, please, as apparently, I'm too dense to fully master the brilliance of your one-line argument.
