Ever since 00 or 05, I've felt that Technology hit a slump and was perversed by marketting and business. between 80's -and 00's, one could feel the rapid and fast paced expansion if technology. What do we got to show now? XP with a candy coated wrapper. cute ribbons, and "dumbing down." I agree alot if it needs the hardware support, and much of it is buzzword spin ( minus Linux as other platforms have been there for years). I guess we'll see where the next few years go.
