It's almost impossible to defeat a people who welcome defeat as victory, who see death as a minor inconvenience, who value cowardice and eschew honour, who see lies as the truth and who hide behind women and children. Israel should not stop until they find and deal with every single last lunatic Hamas adherent or the rockets will just keep coming. And it is incredibly sad that inncocents must die for, in truth, I'd rather no one had to die at all. I know this will get me flamed and attract the oners but I really don't give a crap: I'm tired of Israel always being the bad guy: where was the UN condemnation of Hamas for the last 8 years? Where were the protests whenever a suicide bomber ripped apart innocent families? Where was the loudly articulated moral outrage when another rocket fell on Sderot? Enough is enough: I really don't care what the rest of the world thinks becuase what they think has never changed and will never change. I just hope Israel have the courage to finish the job and fuck everyone else.

Well, you're right that the rockets will keep coming. Israel will never be able to deal "with every single last lunatic Hamas adherent". It's simply not humanly possible.

the Palestinians apparently do. given the Hamas charter, what would you suggest Israel do? remember, giving them Gaza wasn't satisfactory. building a wall to protect Israeli citizens wasn't satisfactory. a land for peace deal brokered by Clinton wasn't satisfactory. guess Israel should simply have a universal, "lets all fall on our knives together on the count of 3 day" - think that would bring peace?

I don't know, but do you really think that killing several hundred civilians will bring the Israelis any closer to peace? I don't. There is nothing about this current bout of violence that will bring anybody closer to any kind of peace talks.

you simply cannot make peace with someone who has a singular goal of exterminating you and goes to the extreme of making that goal the primary theme of their charter. to think otherwise is sheer folly, Israel tried it with Arafat and we all know the result. Dealing with an organization such as Hamas has to be the equivalent of ridding an apartment complex of cockroaches: tent it, pump in whatever it takes to kill the vermin and hope for the best. You certainly won't kill them all, but maybe they'll be weakened and just maybe move to another complex.

Very bad analogy. So you think everybody is Gaza is going to pack up and move, if the Israelis kill enough of them? That's the strategy you think they should pursue?

Your words smack with racism and disgust. Plenty, and I do mean PLENTY of Arabs have benefited our day to day lives or, have become successful, or just enjoyed their day. We are talking about the extremely small population who are extremists. Plenty of Arabs don't hate Jews or the state of Israel. Not every Palestinian picks up a rock and throws it, Israel knows this, that's why they attempt to give land, shelter, food and money selectively, because not everyone deserves this rash treatment. The problem is now, Israel cannot sit idly by and do nothing anymore. It can't feed them and get smacked in the face for it. And you can't see which civilian has a bomb under his shirt. So you have to do what you have to do. Deal with it, this is a consequence of the Palestinian people sitting by allowing Hamas to do what it wants in their territory. I don't know why the Arabs forget this, but Gaza belongs to THEM. They choose who is in charge. If they do't like Hamas, go outside and get them out. They have to govern themselves and not allow Hamas to go and do what they want. And if they support Hamas, they better not cry when the might of the IDF comes crashing down, because they bloody chose it.
