I've mentioned on the site that I had a kidney transplant a number of years ago. Today it was officially confirmed that the transplant kidney is failing. It was kinda obvious due to excessive tiredness and crappiness and the general slowing down in my getting anything done over the last year or so. So new stuff will probably be few and far between. There is a c# project Im working on that I will keep doing because I like it and want to finish it. dunno if it'll ever get to a publishable state though. The plan is to pump me full of whatever is necassary to extend the kidney's life and to hell with side effects etc. So programming could take a back seat to staring vacantly at the tv and trying to stand without falling over. Still I suppose it will give me more to time to slag off people in the soapbox

Oh crap man. That's terrible news. You take care, and feel free to pop on by whenever you have the energy.

"Many : not conversant with mathematical studies, imagine that because it [the Analytical Engine] is to give results in numerical notation, its processes must consequently be arithmetical, numerical, rather than algebraical and analytical. This is an error. The engine can arrange and combine numerical quantities as if they were letters or any other general symbols; and it fact it might bring out its results in algebraical notation, were provisions made accordingly." Ada, Countess Lovelace, 1844
