    Hey, it's keeping me employed so far. I'm trying to lobby for C# when everything gets converted. In the meantime I have side projects I consult for in my free time in C#. Now go kick some puppies or something rather than troll here.

    I was caught in a similar job a while back. Problem was, this massive VB web project didn't want to convert to C#. As far as I know they're still running that VB.Net, framework 1.1 app. :doh:

      Absolutely, nothing wrong with that. As long as the government's envolvement ends at requiring sellers to require a course before sale.

      Damn few in the grand scheme of things. Of course one is one too many, but there are myriad more pressing issues dealing with childrens safety these days.

      Indeed! Kidnappers and Molesters for example. We certainly need to put far more effort into dealing with those monsters than we need to put towards gun control.

        House Bill H.R. 45 1. Require licensing for anybody that owns a gun. 2. Would require photographs and a thumbprint 3. Would require passage of a test that covers: (A) the safe storage of firearms, particularly in the vicinity of persons who have not attained 18 years of age; (B) the safe handling of firearms; (C) the use of firearms in the home and the risks associated with such use; (D) the legal responsibilities of firearms owners, including Federal, State, and local laws relating to requirements for the possession and storage of firearms, and relating to reporting requirements with respect to firearms; and (E) any other subjects, as the Attorney General determines to be appropriate;

                  At what point do any of these things keep you from actually owning a firearm? It isn't my right to know the psycho down the street has one? That's all these measures would do. Worried the men in black suits will come and take them from you?

                  It's simple you implement it the way the Peoples Republic of Tassachusetts has. Have a very small number of seats in the required class and arrange that they're all filled by politically connected/anti-gun people; before announcing the date/times to the general public.

                    Yeah, I know, that's on me. I try to keep that in mind when reading replies. I love to see the humor in things whenever possible. These days it seems there is a lot of material around. While I might joke about what I would like to do to perpetrators I don't believe I would joke about the victims. Child Molesters (anyone that preys on children), Rapists or any violence against women, Terrorists are all the scum of the earth for me. Sure there are others but those just cause my blood to boil.

                      Why in God's name, would they? :confused: Anybody who calls himherself a .NET programmer and can't work in both languages is kidding himself. I note that on your website, you don't say that you won't sell your work to people using VB. . . Presumably that's because it doesn't make any difference which language they are using - any difference at all.

                              I visit the peoples republic once in awhile. My aunt lives out there so I'm aware. It's quite interesting talking with her about politics and such because coming from Iowa she grew up more or less conservative and to live in the midst of so many liberals but still keep her views is interesting. Much like me she's more moderate and flexible but it's still interesting to watch what goes on out there. Pure entertainment if you don't live there :laugh:

                                        Yeah, I know, that's on me. I try to keep that in mind when reading replies. I love to see the humor in things whenever possible. These days it seems there is a lot of material around. While I might joke about what I would like to do to perpetrators I don't believe I would joke about the victims. Child Molesters (anyone that preys on children), Rapists or any violence against women, Terrorists are all the scum of the earth for me. Sure there are others but those just cause my blood to boil.

                                        Agreed. The worst of evil humans. Might add con men who soak old people for all their worth too. People who prey on others are evil, those who do it to the most vunerable are the most dispicable.

                                          I have no doubt. But, are you denying that kids getting access to guns is a problem in the US, one that leads to deaths of said children ?

                                          Yes, but the 'liberty' to own guns is bloody stupid, and the defences and reasons given for it, insane.
