OK, not quite :) Completed MCAD (C#) today. Did one exam 3 years ago, and never really intended to get MCAD. But since they're being retired this month and were discounted and figured they'd be quite easy so decided to go for it. Especially since it's just one upgrade exam to MCPD, rather than 3 exams starting from scratch. I scored over 900 for all of them, but it wasn't quite plain sailing. Anyway pretty stoked. Also you don't have to recertify MCAD like you do MCPD (i.e. take the update or refresh exams every X years).

 Congrats man :) I'm one exam away from an MCSD the 70-229 (DB) how does that work out? I consider it useless but employers find them useful since it helps them with the MS point system and all that.

I think the relevance varies depending on the company culture. You might want to check your intended exam isn't being retired. BTW MCSD doesn't have to be updated either.
