Software piracy is a problem in many countries of the world and exists almost everywhere, though its extent varies from place to place. I don't know what rules are present in your country to deal with this issue. But our government is about to take this interesting step[^] to overcome it.:-D :omg: :-D

does Pakistan honor international copyright laws? more specifically, are the people there required to honor the GPL ? if not, piracy of a different kind could become an issue for you. on the whole tho, i think Linux is defintely a good thing for governments that can't afford the alternative. -c

Well, for the moment, let us ignore the government corruption. The idea is actually interesting. What if the leaders can create a pool of talented Linux developers in Pakistan. Could Pakistan become the next India for software developers? If the Windows market is flooded with too many people, maybe latching onto the Linux bandwagon is a good move. Hmm.... Sounds like an economic gamble. Could pay off. Tim Smith "Programmers are always surrounded by complexity; we can not avoid it...
