What's your perfect mother's day gift idea? I'm really sad that I could not go my hometown and see my mom tomorrow :(

Dig out an old forgotten photo from happy times, take a nice digi snap of it and touch it up, and send her a heart warming email with it. Or, draw her a nice picture - you know, with crayons and stuff. And 'Happy Mother's Day' on it. Moms love those. :)

For my wife, I would say, a 5 or 6 bedroom horse ranch on about 50 acres, with horses. For my Mother, a place next door to that ranch, where the kids can run over to play with their Grandma'. Hey ... you didn't say it had to be something I can actually afford, but if I could, that would be it.

The kid broke a bowl the other week so we just bought a replacement... and a card. Also, we have hummingbirds nesting on our patio outside our bedroom window so I'll make a card from pictures of them. We'll be visiting my parents in a few weeks, so we have them covered.

I think the best gift is remembering it's Mother's Day in time to post her a nice present. :-)
