          I liked Starcraft most. If I had a time to play games all night, I would try Warcraft III. Pavel Sonork 100.15206

            Civilisation II - the best turn based strategy game ever. Michael Programming is great. First they pay you to introduce bugs into software. Then they pay you to remove them again.

                AOE rocks, but for a game played between friends, nothing can beat Diablo 2, with expansion set! Start with a barbarian, once you get the game, try a sorceress or necromancer:-D The following statement about your geekness is true. Well, chess was introduced to me one recess in the 4th grade by a friend at the time. And, it just happens to be that chess and working out are the two things my birth father (who I rarely see) seem to be able to do and talk about if we actually see each other once a decade. Same general game play as AOE, with different different setting/ civs/ etc. Plus air units, are kind of cool. It's actually based on the AOE engine. BW {insert witty/thought-provoking saying here}

You are better off playing against human opponents. The computer AI is very poor, so poor that I can play against 7 computer opponents on hard and still win easily. Michael Programming is great. Hard, is still a challenge for me sometimes, though, at least in AOK(conquerors). BW {insert witty/thought-provoking saying here}

                                Warcraft 3. Blizzard corners the market on strategy games. I would choose Starcraft second. But I've always loved the Warcraft theme more... Paul is right. Chess is not a good way to pick up women. Never pay attention to movies. How many computer movies have you seen that you thought were fake? Every now and then I do play chess. I'm smart and I like to think. I do that for myself and not for women. If chick doesn't appreciate that then she's welcome to fuck off. :) In my experience, I've noticed people are visual creatures. In the case with women, you have to aesthetically appeal to them first and at the right moment. Then they let you inside their bitch shield. Once inside, you can slowly integrate some of your more intellectual pastimes to her and she'll accept them because in the end it could only mean more money (in womanise that's "security") for her. Not too much at once though, they will think you're no longer as exciting, and she'll start to see you as marriage material and not fuck material.
