Surely that is only a theoretical level, achievable only in special circumstances under laboratory conditions?

You can't turn lead into gold, unless you've built yourself a nuclear plant.

I think it's either 1500 or 2000 posts. It seems to be a little off, though. Either way, it's not that much. We just get to see the articles for approval

Membership status calculated as follows: 1-4 articles posted = Bronze. 5-14 articles = Silver. 15-24 articles = Gold. 25+ articles = Platinum. Each 500 messages posted adds one level, and if a member has posted a message then each year of membership adds 1 level until the member hits Silver. Bronze is awarded at the beginning of the first 500 messages posted instead of the end.

Don't know, seems like I have always been gold, which is (in my case) utterly undeserved given my poor contribution here. So I would not take the ranking too seriously...

IIRC the wording is poor and years of membership don't count towards earning gold; only message/article points count for it. Also status is only updated once a week (over the weekend); with the messages you've posted this week and the article you've written I think you'll go gold Saturday or Sunday.
