Inside a real FEMA camp.

So: It is not a camp run by FEMA; It cannot hold tens of thousands of prisoners; It is not run by foreign contractors and military. 0 out of 3. I am following the prison saga with interest, I love the sheer incompetence displayed by the City Fathers. Thanks for bringing Hardin MT to my attention.
Bob Emmett I solemnly declare that I do not wish the USA to be more like Britain, Canada, or Oz.
FEMA can use anything as a 'gathering area' or camp. A sports dome or a school can be used when they want to use it, they can take over anything.

But I did chuckle when this American Police Force apparently rolled up in town in their SUV's decked out with Police regalia etc and was told to remove all traces of this regalia. But the local newspaper can't make its mind up if there is 464 or 646 beds. Custer would have been disappointed and Chief Sitting Bull not particularly amused with what they are proposing.

Perused some of the 'discussion' posts this morning. (Joys of retirement. :) ) One had a video of the SUVs in full regalia. In the centre of the City of Hardin Police Department decal was the APF logo[^] which is almost identical to the Serbian Coat of Arms[^]. So Hardin is about to be policed by Serbian mercenaries. :omg: This is the most amusing of our resident gull's postings. edit [blockquote overrun]

Their population is a little over 3400 and they call this Hardin place a "City". Why? it is more like a village, if they didn't have a place of worship, it might fit the description of "Hamlet". Apparently, one APF principal was born in Montenegro. Makes you wonder if private company's can use the coat of arms of a foreign country. Presumably if HM Queen's insignia is used without her permission, heads might roll. The APF has as of yet not been made aware that the State of Montana has a constitution that forbids the creation of a private police force. [^] This story is getting wackier by the day

Your drugs are causing memory loss[^] So the subject of your post should have been: Inside a potential FEMA camp, should FEMA decide to use it. And, instead of a small prison in Hardin, you could have shown a sports dome that could house tens of thousands, or one holding tens of thousands[^].
CaptainSeeSharp wrote:

It currently provides 464 beds, the infrastructure will support another 500 beds. So a 114,000 square-foot building accommodates fewer than 1000 prisoners at a cost of $27 million. Would another $24 million will provide an infrastructure for tens of thousands? No. A 30,000 square-foot military-style training facility and a 75,000 square-foot dormitory for 250 trainees are planned. These will cost $17 million to build and $6 million to equip. Allowing for rounding, that's where your $24 million is said to be going. (There was talk of a $30 million investment, which, in addition to the above development, would expand the gaol to accomodate 2000 prisoners.)

That could be, but, until I see your evidence, I remain unconvinced. Regardless of the above, although TRA and APF are said to have signed a contract, the bankers (who hold the bonds) have not. So APF runs nothing So: It is not a camp run by FEMA; It cannot hold tens of thousands of prisoners; It is not run by foreign contractors and military. 0 out of 3.

There is a reason that they are called concentration camps. And they are going to tell the public that they aren't for anything more than tortured Gitmo's and terrorists.

Michael Hilton doesn't sound very Serbian (until he starts to speak, they say). Is he a citizen of the USA? Is he wanted for war crimes in Yugoslavia? I think the gull should be told.

There is indeed, but it has nothing to do with the density of a camp's population.
CaptainSeeSharp wrote:

Pronouns must always refer to a preceding noun, otherwise the meaning of the sentence is obscured. If there is no preceding noun, use the noun and not a pronoun. If you really believe your government is going to tell you that the FEMA camps are for Gitmo prisoners and terrorists only, to lull you into a false sense of security, and then - POW! - don't forget school, you are a rebel: listen your MP3 player, smoke, and drink coffee during indoctrination. Sleep well. In the meantime: It is not a camp run by FEMA; It cannot hold tens of thousands of prisoners; It is not run by foreign contractors and military. 0 out of 3.

So in your puny mind, concentration is some code for something other than the condition of being concentrated.

Why would I impersonate my subordinates? I have the mind control chips implanted into them, so they do anything I tell them to anyway. You have my sincere apologies. I thought you were a human. Since I'm now doubting that assessment, I have to break out the temporal transposition devices. I shall teleport you into the Thames in the summer of 1858.

Let us say we have a camp that provides accommodation for families. 500 pleasant little bungalows, 3 bedrooms, lounge, dining area, kitchen, bathroom, utility room. Lawns to the front, yard to the rear. Entertainment facilities are laid on: swimming pool, ice rink, gym, sports field, theatre, bars, whatever the the inmates want. Educational facilities are provided. A model village - except that you cannot leave, or communicate beyond, its confines. If a random selection of the population were impounded, it would not be a concentration camp. If, however, only Vietnamese families, or communist families, or Lutheran families, or vaccine refuseniks were impounded, it would be a concentration camp. The term 'concentration' is derived from the concentration of a particular segment of society in one place where their actions may be restricted and monitored. So, all penitentiaries could be termed 'concentration camps', as they concentrate felons in one place.

What is the purpose of which facility? The government are pretending that the Hardin gaol is for Gitmo prisoners and terrorists? Well the offer of the gaol for Gitmo prisoners was turned down (unsurprisingly, since it was built for "minimum- and medium-security inmates").

I am disappointed that you could provide no links to where your government has told you that FEMA camps are for terrorists and Gitmo prisoners. I understood that your government told you that the FEMA camps were to accommodate citizens in time of natural catastrophe.
CaptainSeeSharp wrote:

Then the camps in which they were impounded could accurately be called concentration camps, as they would contain a concentration of a particular segment of society (disobedient slaves) in one place. How would a locked-down militarized city work? Going about your daily business, that sort of thing? How many militia per 1000 of population? Would citizens commute from the suburbs into the city?
