Actually, judging by the magnitude of hippy vans owned by the OAPs in my street, you may just be right! :omg:

I feel you all need to realise this isn't standard information for a generic person and as i have already quite clearly pointed out, i have no experience in programming which involves such technology. I'm from an engineering background, not a programming background. This site is helpful for me to learn from, so expect more daft question from yours truely :-D --- Peter M

Peter Mayhew wrote: I was hoping to get more involved in PIC (Peripheral Interface Controller) programming, in particular the PIC 16C84 microcontroller. I'm starting to code for the PIC 16F877... Using MPLAB and the CCS compiler... Very interesting and very fast because I can debug directly on the chip... Don't think you'll be able to do that with the 16C84 as it's not a e2prom [eeprom] chip. Isn't the 16C84 a VU eprom??? I think it is. Regards, Brian Dela :-)

Your right... http://www.microchip.com/1010/pline/picmicro/category/digictrl/8kbytes/devices/16c84/index.htm[^] But the chip seems to be obsolete... The http://www.microchip.com/1010/pline/picmicro/category/digictrl/8kbytes/devices/16f84a/index.htm[^] is the newer one according to the site. Regards, Brian Dela :-)

The General Discussions.. If it's releated to C++ put in in the C++ forum but if it's about design and so on just put it into the general discussions. Regards, Brian Dela :-)

Hi, I didn't mean to offend you at all. It's just the question appeared as a bit of a troll. And I though David was being silly answering it. Sincere apologies. Regardz Colin J Davies

You are the intrepid one, always willing to leap into the fray! A serious character flaw, I might add, but entertaining. Said by Roger Wright about me.
