Paranoia and Plain Dumb

Just ran across a site that claims, "Flu has been around for so long, so why must we worry about vaccine now?" If I wasn't listening to Reign In Blood I would find that little girl's site alarming.

I like Seasons in the Abyss the best, I think. The trouble with the internet is that it gives every moron an equal chance to publicise their retarded views.

I bet you believe people should have to buy a permit from the government to post online.

Not at all. I like the internet the way it is, although it's a bit scary. Intelligent people can use it as a great tool, and morons can use it to strengthen their belief in their ignorance. But, that's the price of freedom. I do think that some people go overboard in their expectation of nothing they do online having any sort of ramifications in RL, but that's another story. I do love this caricature of me that you invent. It amuses me.

This to me sounds more like an underlying disdain for those who don't hold your authoritarian eugenics ideologies.

That's because you're still stupid enough to believe I have those tendencies in the first place. You've proved my point. Some people can't see past their own ignorance, and use their ignorance to explain everything anyone ever tells them.

The thing is though, Cristain, you explicitly stated numerous times that you believe that there is a need for population controls. You have even suggested Maoist China's model.

Yes, and I understand why it is that you're not smart enough to understand what I said.

AGAIN ? Why would I bother trying again ? The short version is, I have NEVER suggested any sort of scheme like what China has/had. I HAVE stated that the world is overpopulated and that a quote of one child per couple is the only thing, short of a war, that will allow our species to not fall into disarray, starvation, and probably anarchy. I have also said that such a system is unlikely to ever be workable, but if it were to exist, I'd favour economic pressures to make couples conform, not ever for anyone to be forced to have an abortion ( that's the biggest lie you tell about me, because I absolutely oppose it on a personal level as well as having never suggested it ).

This is doublethink. The power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them....To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them, to forget any fact that has become inconvenient, and then, when it becomes necessary again, to draw it back from oblivion for just so long as it is needed, to deny the existence of objective reality and all the while to take account of the reality which one denies — all this is indispensably necessary. Even in using the word doublethink it is necessary to exercise doublethink. For by using the word one admits that one is tampering with reality; by a fresh act of doublethink one erases this knowledge; and so on indefinitely, with the lie always one leap ahead of the truth.

So you want to force the parents to fork over their hard earned assets that they would normally use to take care of the child and improve their quality of life. I get it, force them into poverty. Genius. You are an authoritarian eugenicist.

No, it's not. It's proof you're a moron. A quota of one child per couple is PART of what China did. In China, forced abortions existed. I've always spoken against that. You're just incapable of considering nuance, it's all black and white for you, because it's easier that way.

No, not quite. I've explained my idea in the past. And I have every time said that I don't see it as enforceable, just that I see it is as the only natural hope for mankind to limit our population.

See what I mean ? You are too stupid to understand what I'm saying, you were before, and you are now. I actually clarified that I don't want to charge anyone a 'penalty for babies'. I just didn't explain how I thought it may work, b/c I already knew we were headed for this.

So you want to let a small group of powerful people snatch people's children and bankrupt the parents. I get it. You want to use the money that they stole from the parents to sterilize the children and fund the child snatching operations and the child dormitories that the children will be forced to live in from birth. You are John P. Holdren would make a good couple.

Hey, I don't make up this stuff. Read John P. Holdren's book "Ecoscience: Population, Resources, and Envirnment" He calls for mass sterilization and strict population controls managed by a planetary regime. John P. Holdren is Uh'boom'buh's science and technology czar.
