Yet it's not at all a good summary. As seems to be so often the case in US politics much of the meaning is lost in an attempt to reduce something complex into a bit size morsel people will actually read.

I didn't read it all, I grabbed one at random. 3. We will NOT obey any order to detain American citizens as “unlawful enemy combatants” or to subject them to trial by military tribunal. Two questions - locking up non US citizen indefinitely without trial is OK then ? The second is more important - this sounds impressive, but only because it implies that they are LIKELY to be asked to do this. I am almost certain they are not. 2. We will NOT obey any order to conduct warrantless searches of the American people, their homes, vehicles, papers, or effects -- such as warrantless house-to house searches for weapons or persons. Yep, they are all the same. A lot of hot air. No-one is asking them to do these things, and only the people drinking the Kool Aide think this is impressive.

Morality is not subjective and is not open to interpretation. I don't know where you got that from, but its wrong-headed, and so is your lack of understanding of liberty.

You're confused. I can access the site, Damian cant. I doubt very much if anyone is blocking it. Ask yourself this, why would someone want to stop Australians from reading that site? How would someone block a specific facebook group? Take off the tin foil hat.

The American fascination with your constitution is something that outsiders like me will probably never understand. Similarly as an insider you'll probably struggle to see this in the light that I do. Hence my original comment. Two things in that web site stood out to me. The focus on religion and the use of the word immoral. Both are very subjective, open to interpretation and change at any time. Perhaps there is something in the fact CSS agrees with them.

The American constitution gave birth to the most free country on Earth. That's why it is so revered. It established the rule of law over the rule of man for the first time in the history of mankind. You think that's something you can't understand?

I'm not sure what you're asking. But to restate, I'm sure you can appreciate the fact that it was a history-making document.

Sure but no more so than many others. Your statement that it is the most free country on earth is ridiculous. How would you measure the "freeness" of all countries to determine that? How do you define freedom? The Patriot Act :) Can you see why so much of the rest of the world laugh at your attitude to yourselves?

No, but I can see that although I've been perfectly polite to you, you find it necessary to be offensive.

I'm sorry if you feel I've been offensive. Can you understand how claiming that your country is the most free implies that mine is less so and that could be taken as being offensive?

Yet it remains law in your country and you still claim to be the most free.
