Disable FF "Additional plugins are needed..." banner?

Seems to be my morning for remembering all those pesky questions I've been meaning to ask... I use FF as my "clean" browser and don't install any plug-ins such as Flash, etc. It's what I use to read the morning news with, and it also points out to me those sites who rely too heavily on non text mechanisms, i.e. if your home page is a bunch of large, empty boxes, you've lost me. For some reason, I find the continual appearance of FF's yellow banner telling me I need additional plug-ins to be a distraction, enough so that I take a moment to kill it. If I wanted such distractions, I wouldn't be running a browser without plug-ins. Can't seem to find any FF options or Google love on this. Anyone know how to tell FF that I know what I'm doing, stop displaying the stupid banner?

Don't use a browser that is designed to use plugins to provide minimum functionality?

Well, that's not to far from the truth. After all, "my foot hurts" isn't very diagnosable. They typical deal is to try different random diagnostics and treatments and hope that either something diagnosable develops, or the pain goes away. Shooting would be much more efficient, of course (I'd though that's what you Texans without public healthcare do anyway).
Personally, I love the idea that Raymond spends his nights posting bad regexs to mailing lists under the pseudonym of Jane Smith. He'd be like a super hero, only more nerdy and less useful. [Trevel]
