Collaboration
-
I'm trying to find a project to do some collaboration on (obviously open source). I'm familiar with VB & PHP, and can do C# and Python. I'm also proficient with SQL and DB design. I'm happy to learn a new language for this project. The only reason that I'm asking you guys is because I need to find one where I can (at my skill level) contribute, but that I can take my time with... I'm a power user, but I also love my computer games. Working on a computer game could take me a while (I haven't really worked with them before, lack of models etc to work with). I can work on many other things though, including web apps, and Windows based apps. I'm pretty much happy to work on almost anything though, even if just for a while. Any suggestions should make me massively happy. Cheers! :) P.S. If it helps, I'm Aussie

I'm sure that won't be held against you. Many fine CPians come from there. The are millions of projects you could do. Your interests are, to me, vague, you haven't said what they are. http://sourceforge.net/[^] is a huge repository of open source software. Look at the categories and sub-categories. See if anything jumps out at you. Many of those projects, and others elsewhere such as http://www.tigris.org/[^] are "work in progress". If a project there interests you, and you so feel like volunteering, do so.

Ahh, I KNEW that wouldn't be held against me, after all, Aussies are awesome  I'll update my original post with a little more detail.
