    I don't know whether this post suits for message type JOTD or News. Better you choose, "Apple Inc., looking to avoid a recall of the iPhone 4, may give away rubber cases or offer an in-store fix to address a design flaw in the newest version of its top-selling product, according to analysts." apple-may-offer-iphone-bumpers-rebates-analysts-say[^] funny right? Instead of fixing the issues, they will give you rubber cases. If you have one and facing issues, then don't worry, Go and collect it(Rubber Cases) :laugh:

    Apple really need to get it right today. Free bumpers is the absolute minimum they can do. However, if they don't own up to the fact that it IS a design flaw in one way or another, then they go on my shit list. I'm not a massive fan in the first place, but this will seal it for me.

      A rubber case is mandatory, god forbid if you drop your iPhone, it's a sweet £200 to have it repaired.

      Which is the reason I got a Blackberry - the number of my friends who have cracked screens and struggle to type etc is ridiculous. Even with insurance it's £25 a pop to get it repaired...

        While it's amusing that Apple has made such a serious gaffe, the fix is simple for the fanbois out there. Just get a case for the phone. Problem solved. I thought everyone got cases for their phones anyway (I always do). Frankly, I'm getting tired of hearing about this crap.

          I don't And after 2 years only 1 tiny scratch on it. Of course I don't use it to throw at intruders once the bullets ran out :)

            If they can fix a software problem with a rubber case, they should patent that. And buy rubber company stock. :laugh:

              A lot of the world's problems could be solved by wearing a rubber case!

                A case would have protected it from the intruder's finger nail. :)

                  Its a good idea to invest in share market especially for Rubber manufacture's shares. Their share value will increase soon. :laugh: Moreover I wonder whether these guys ever did a good User Acceptance Testing, Otherwise how this is happened?

                      You could always try my DIY solution - Airfix enamel paints, they come in a range of colours with a particular emphasis on camoflage colours, khakis, greens, browns etc - perfect if you're working in the desert or jungle or just happen to live in certain American states where camoflaged attire seems to be a legal requirement :}
