(not that other days are not good to go to the pub ... ) Learned 2 things today! How to make a simple script in Perl and to do the same thing in C# (with a UI front-end)! Normally I would have used C++ and MFC to do that simple task, but wanted to try something new. Downloaded Perl, code, google, scratch and sniff and done it; but figured that my users my not like to have to download perl and launched the script manually (yeah, there's probably a byte-code compiler somewhere that makes a "standalone-ish" exe.) So opened up VS2008 and instead of targeting MFC, I clicked on C# Winform.app. It's quite simple, but a good starting point. Anyway, back to your regular programming... Have a good week-end y'all, I'm off to the land of the mosquitoes and other critters and cold lake and cold beer and hot bbq and hot chicks. M.

    Watched code never compiles.
