I don't care how bad your think your mother in law is, you are in the bush league. My mother in law and father in law were behind on their mortgage and facing losing their house. They convinced their daughter (now my wife) to put up HER house as collteral and add HER name to their mortgage, in order to stave off the bank. They refinanced and rented out rooms and promised to cover their mortgage. You'd think that having their daughter on the hook for their debts would have focused the mind a bit. Of course not. They not only stopped paying the mortgage, but they refused to sell their house that they clearly couldn't afford. They now haven't made a mortgage payment for 2 years, my Wife's credit rating is in the toilet, and to top it all her parents are now claiming that her house, which she put up as collateral to help them is actually THEIR HOUSE. This baby is heading for court. Q. What's my Mother In Law doing now? A. Packing for her three week holiday to Malaysia. So, how bad is your mother-in-law? Really? -Rd

I've been married for 11 years now and have two wonderful kids. I unfortunately have a marriage where my mother-in-law despises me and tries on a regular basis to make my life a living hell. It has put a real strain on my marriage since the very beginning. The old adage that when you marry someone, you are also marrying the family and everyone in it is very, very true. Sad thing is, you have no control over how the other family members are going to accept you or act toward you. Just venting...

You know, I'm seriously considering changing my handle. I've come to the realization that compared to some of the back room denizens, I really don't deserve this moniker.

The Mother-in-law was knocking on the front door. I knew it were her, because the mice were throwing themselves onto the traps. I saw six men kicking and punching the mother-in-law. My neighbour said 'Are you going to help?' I said 'No, Six should be enough." I'm not saying my Mother-in-law's ugly, but last christmas she stood under the mistle toe waiting for someone to kiss and she was still there at lent. In fact she went to see that film the Elephant Man and the audience thought she was making a personal appearance. The wife's Mother said, "When you're dead, I'll dance in your grave." I said: "Good, I'm being buried at sea." Good Old Les Dawson!

Yeah my wifes mother in law was a bitch, I was not sorry when she fell off the perch. My in laws on the other hand were lovely people and I enjoyed their company immensly.
