Christian, when you state "then catching a plane that was going to fly anyhow, in order to meet to discuss ways to control it, would make perfect sense." you obviously arent aware that planes use more fuel when more heavilly loaded. It's to do with angle of attack. And as for your question about offsetting, are you serious? Are you really happy that your tax money is being spent this way? Its your country after all. The Government's special envoy on climate change, Howard Bamsey, was the biggest spender, racking up $229,000 in travel costs during 2009-10."

You were having this conversation several hours ago when he was awake, and you failed to mention it then. Presumably because the thought hadn't occured to you. That is fine, but to have a riposte 6 hours later is not showing you at the top of your game.
